Together Again

Henrietta M. Aggers, 84, formerly of Girard/McDonald, passed away August 19, 2023, at Humility House in Austintown.

Mrs. Aggers was born in Girard on August 16, 1939, to the late Michael and Florence (Zuby) Zabotsky. She was a graduate of Girard High School, where she was a cheerleader.

She retired after working 23 years as a secretary with US Steel and was a member of Garber Methodist Church in New Bern, North Carolina.

Henrietta and her late husband William R. Aggers, who passed in 2004, moved to New Bern, NC in 1988 to pursue their love for golf, where they were members of the Emerald Golf Club.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sister Karen and brother-in-law Richard Logar, who were also her caretakers; niece, Atty. Tracie L. (Christopher) Schmidt; nephews Donald (Jamesina) Patrick Jr. and Ronald (Michelle) Patrick; great niece Kaitlyn "K.J." Schmidt and great-nephew Andrew "Drew" Schmidt. She is also survived by three step children, William (Barbara) Aggers, Daniel (Bobbie) Aggers, and Nancy Bessey, eight step grandchildren and thirteen step great-grandchildren.

Henrietta was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Agatha "Aggie" Patrick and brother-in-law Donald M. Patrick Sr., and a brother who died at birth.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday October 21, 2023 at Garber Methodist Church, with interment at Garber's Columbarium  where she will be placed next to her husband.

She requested, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Garber Methodist Church, 4201 Country Club Road  New Bern, NC 28562, or individual's choice in her memory.
