Anthony Gambacorta, Jr., 70, passed away January 21,2020. Anthony was born in Brooklyn, New York, the first child of Anthony and Edith (Tarolla) Gambacorta. In 1952 the family moved to Levittown, Long Island, New York where they lived their entire lives. Anthony worked at TWA airlines as an airplane mechanic. Upon retirement, and with his lifelong passion for automobiles he opened Anthony's Auto Sales in Massapequa, New York. Anthony bought and sold exotic and classic cars such as Pantaras, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Corvettes, Cobras, and Vipers. His favorite being a 1959 corvette. He also restored many motorcycles. When he developed numerous health concerns he moved to Ohio where he had family, and entrusted his cousin Anthony C. DeGenaro to manage his health issues. Anthony had a kind heart, giving to others in need throughout his community in New York and was grateful for the many acts of kindness shown to him as his health deteriorated. Anthony is preceded in death by his mother and father and sister Rosemarie. He will always live on in the hearts and memories shared by his cousins throughout the Youngstown area and lifelong friends in the city of Levittown, Long Island, New York. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the wonderful, caring staff at Continuing Health Care at the Ridge along with his physician Dr. Mourad Rostom.
