Anthony "Tony" J. Cononico

Anthony “Tony” James Cononico, 42, of Holly Springs NC, passed away at his home on Monday, January 15, 2018 as a result from natural causes.
Anthony was born April 11, 1975 in Warren, a son of the late Thomas Cononico and Anna Marie Cardiero Cononico.
He was a 1993 graduate of Girard High School. Anthony honorably served in the US Marine Corps and a graduate of ITT Tech in information technology.
Family was the most important thing to Anthony. He loved The Ohio State Buckeyes and watching football with his sons. He really enjoyed eating his mother and wife’s Italian cooking. His greatest joy was being with his wife and his five sons. His joy was being able to care for his sons on a daily basis.
Anthony will be lovingly remembered by his wife Carrie (Malesky) whom he married June 6, 2010; his children Gabriel N. Cononico, Cain A. Cononico and step daughter, Ottilie P. Malesky, all at home. As well as his son Corporal Anthony J. Cononico (USMC), Dominic A. Cononico and Angelo T. Cononico; his mother Anna Marie Cardiero Cononico of Girard and Las Vegas, NV; his sister Andrea Cononico of Las Vegas, NV; his sister Erica (Thomas) Cheney of Las Vegas, NV; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Philip and Paula Zell of Canfield; his brother-in-law, Adam (Jess) Malesky of Cuyahoga Falls; several aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews, Lilyana Cheney, Agostino Cononico, Dax Dota and Delaney Dota.
Anthony will be truly and sadly missed by all who loved him.
Besides his father, grandparents, James and Louise Cononico and Anthony and Valina Cardiero are deceased.
Family and friends are welcome to attend the Memorial Service from 4 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, January 23, at Blackstone’s Funeral Home, 672 Churchill Rd. Girard.
