Beatrice "Bea" Clark

Beatrice Rose (Collins) Clark, affectionately known as Bea, passed away on Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025, in Ithaca, NY.

Bea was born on September 7th, 1935, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Leah (Boyd) and Joseph Orin Collins.

She grew up in Liberty Township, and later resided in Girard, Ohio. Bea also lived in North Palm Beach, Florida, until 2002 when she moved to Ithaca, NY, to be closer to her family.

Bea graduated from Liberty High School in 1954. After graduation, she married Charles C. Clark, who became her beloved husband of 70 years.

She worked at Youngstown Northside Hospital, Truscon Steel, Collins Furniture & Appliance of Cortland and Ekerts Furniture of Boardman. Bea definitely had a keen eye for furniture made of good quality and craftsmanship, and was consulted by family and friends often.

Bea was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Sunrise Chapter 458 of Girard, Ohio, where she was awarded the “Grand Cross of Color”.

Bea loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was also passionate about tending to her flower gardens.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Charles; daughter, Debra (Andy) Antal of Ithaca, New York; grandchildren, Brent (Kelly Kistner) Antal of Long Beach CA, Jonathan (Natalie) Antal of Webster, NY, Christopher (Tara Champion) Antal of Tacoma, WA, and Brittany Clark of Dryden, NY; Great-grandchildren, Reid, Clark and Hertha, along with many loving nieces and nephews.

Bea is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Sally (Collins) Major; and son, Charles C. Clark Jr.

A graveside service for Bea will be held on Monday, May 5th at 11:00AM at Belmont Park Cemetery, open to all.
