Carl D. Macali

Carl D. Macali, 71, of Niles, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 17, 2018,  at his home. Carl was born April 22, 1947 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of Carl and Anna Marie (Decrescentis) Macali. Carl retired in 2005, from McDonald High School, after 35 years as a music and band teacher. He was a member of the McDonald Lions Club. Carl loved teaching and playing music, and also enjoyed fishing, hiking, and camping. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 43 years, Sandra (Aho) Macali, whom he married June 7, 1975, his sons, Matthew Macali of Niles, and Mark (Theresa) Macali of Albuquerque, New Mexico, his daughter, Carla (Matthew) Ruggiero of Raleigh, North Carolina, his brothers, Gregory Macali of Niles, and David (Nancy) Macali of Monroe Falls, Ohio,  and two  grandchildren, Luke and Gabriel. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 7th, 4:00 PM at Woodland Park United Methodist Church in McDonald.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorial contributions be made to: The American Cancer Society, 525 N Broad St, Canfield, OH 44406 in Carl's memory.
