Cathy Sue (Giddings) Barnett

Cathy Sue Barnett, 63, of Liberty Twp., passed away, Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Hospice House in Poland. She was born in Ashtabula, Ohio on July 4, 1954, the daughter of James and Mattie (Gray) Giddings Sr. She was a1972 Niles High School graduate, and studied at Trinity Bible College. She had worked as an executive administrator for Ohio Valley Teen Challenge in Youngstown and had previously worked for Dr. Novosel in Niles, Blue Cross/Blue Shield office and BioMed in Liberty Twp.

Cathy was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and sister to her family, and loved spending quality time with her grandsons. She was an excellent cook, and enjoyed cooking for her family. Cathy was a devoted member of Liberty First Assembly of God Church and loved singing with various groups.

Besides her parents of Niles, she leaves to cherish her memory,  husband, Roy D. Barnett, whom she married May 4, 1974, her children; Heather (Jason) Zink of Niles and Adam (Amy) Barnett of Girard, sister, Mary Jane (Elmer) Norris of Jefferson, brothers; James (Dawna) Giddings Jr. of Vienna, Ronald (Carol) Giddings of Richmond, VA, and grandchildren; Ben, Nathan, Israel and Jackson. She is preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence Giddings.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 7th, 12:00 PM  at Liberty First Assembly of God Church, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 AM  until the time of service.
