Beloved Husband, Father, Granddad, Great-Granddad, and Friend
Crayton Wandle Lee Jr., 84, of Vienna, Ohio, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, May 10th, 2025.
Crayton was born on November 24th, 1940, in Wellsville, New York, to Crayton Sr. and Reba Lee. He graduated in 1960 from Brockway High School, where he served as President of the FFA.
Crayton married the love of his life, Ricky Mae (Ishman), on July 6th, 1963, and they enjoyed almost 62 years together until his passing. He was of Methodist faith, and served as a trustee for the Vienna United Methodist Church. He lived a life full of love, kindness, and and quiet strength.
He worked for General motors in Southgate, California and Lordstown, Ohio, for 37 years, retiring in 1999. After retirement, he enjoyed mowing the greens at The Avalon Lakes Golf Course, dedicating himself to his community.
As a devoted husband and father, family meant everything to Crayton. In his later years, he could often be found watching cartoons with his great-grandchildren, cheering them on at numerous sporting events, helping with household projects or dog-sitting. In earlier years, he found great joy in coaching his children's and grandchild's baseball and softball teams.
He had a deep love for western movies and baseball. In his spare time, Crayton could be found watching an old western, giving armchair advice to the Cleveland Guardians, or sitting on the front porch watching the birds and squirrels; and, anyone who knew him will remember him as someone who would drop everything to come help at a moment's notice.
Crayton leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Ricky Lee, his children, Junett (David) Wise, Tracey Perkins, Brent (Amy) Lee; his grandchildren, Laura (Steve) Waldo, Anthony Shaffer, Brandon (Teonna) Lee, Taylor (Guy) Reece, Ryan Perkins, Julie (Casey) Sanders, Jessica (DJ) Richards; great-grandchildren, Braedyn, Xavier, Teagan, Cooper, Raylan, Crew, Jaxon, Joanna, Bryson, Romulus, a great-granddaughter expected this July; his brother, John, and numerous nieces and nephews. They will forever carry his legacy in their hearts.
Crayton is preceded in death by his parents; sisters Avilda, Margaret, Helen, Kathryn, and Beatrice; his brother, Robert; and his infant grandson, Anthony Perkins,
