Cynthia Seifert

Cynthia "Cindy" Powell Seifert, 73, of Columbus, formerly of Liberty, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Cindy was born August 20, 1950, in Youngstown, Ohio, and was the daughter of Robert and Lona Loretta (Hoff) Powell.

Cindy was Valedictorian of her class at Mineral Ridge High School and received her Bachelor's degree in Education from Westminster College. She was an educator in various roles throughout her career. She enjoyed reading, watching Buckeye Football, and taking history classes. She adored her grandchildren and loved being with them. Cindy was a member of Pleasant Valley Evangelical Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Jason Seifert, of North Royalton, Ohio and Kristin (Robb) Watson, of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren, Valerie and Adam Watson, Grace, Cameron, Lily and Lona Seifert; her sister, Sheri Powell of Columbus; and many special friends and relatives. Besides her parents, Cindy is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Seifert, who died February 15, 2015; and brothers, Robert and Richard Powell.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 10:30 AM at Niles Union Cemetery Chapel, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
