Debbie Bush

Debra K. Bush, 71, of Canfield, passed away on May 6, 2025, at the Humility House in Austintown, Ohio.

Debbie was born March 5, 1954, in Youngstown, Ohio, the eldest of three children, and the only daughter of Nelson E. and Doris J. (Walp) Edsall.

She attended Youngstown Rayen High School, became a hair beautician, and then went on to the Choffin Career Center of Youngstown, Ohio, earning her certification as a Licensed Nurse Practitioner. Upon marrying Richard Bush, she agreed to stay home to raise their four kids together as well as help with Richard’s fireplace business. She was highly valued at the shop, greeting customers, handling the register, and making sure that the showroom was top-notch.

Debbie had many interests, including walking, dancing, reading, cooking, eating healthily, traveling, boating, and enjoying nature, but most of all, she enjoyed taking care of her family and her many animals throughout the years. One of her most cherished activities in life was spending time at her and Richard’s cabin in Templeton, Pennsylvania. When the property was bought in the mid-90s, they spent endless hours making it a welcoming vacation home for their then children and as the years progressed, their grandchildren. Everyone who came, family and friends, enjoyed time boating on the river, floating down the creek, barbecuing on the deck, reading, and sharing stories.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Raymond Christoff; Susan Terry; her step-children Aaron C. (Lori) Bush, Alison (Christopher) Taylor; grandchildren Jacob Bush, Christian Terry, Justin Christoff, Logan Bush, Sadie Christoff, Nathan Terry, Benjamin Taylor, Hadley Taylor and many great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Bush, her brother Terry Edsall, her grandson Devan Christoff, and her parents.

In honor of Debra, a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 29th at Halliday Winery in Lake Milton, Ohio.
