Dorothy Jane Williams

Dorothy J. Williams, 90, of Girard, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 7th, at her daughter's residence, with her family by her side. Dorothy was born July 22,1929, in Girard, the daughter of Michael and Nancy (Augustine) Corsale. Dorothy was a 1947 graduate of Girard High School. She then married her husband, Elmer Williams on November 22, 1947 and devoted herself to raising their children.  She was a member of St. Rose Church and St. Rose Seniors. Dorothy enjoyed golfing, card clubs, going to the casinos. The family holidays Dorothy had were such treasured memories to her family. She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Thomas (Dolores) Williams of Cortland and her daughter, Janice (Dean) Weitzman, with whom she made her home, her daughter-in-law Cheryl Williams of Girard, 8 grandchildren, Ryan (Robin) Williams, Amy (Dennis) Riportella, Chrissy Brown, Michael (Sarah) Williams, Tom (Jacci) Williams, Amanda Weitzman (Fiance Travis Bernard), Sara (Tony) Mathews and Melissa (Maggie) Dolan-Weitzman, and 10 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer, who died March 22, 2002, her son, Michael Williams, and her brothers, Joseph, Dominic, Eugene and Michael Corsale. A private Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 10th, at St. Rose Church. Dorothy will be laid to rest at Tod Homestead Cemetery, next to her husband.
