Elaine P. Babbony

Elaine P. Babbony, 91, of Girard, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020, at Park Vista Nursing Home, in Youngstown. Elaine was born June 24, 1929, a daughter of Thomas and Veronica (Migrock) Turosak. Elaine was a graduate of Uniontown PA School of Nursing before coming to Youngstown to work for over 20 years primarily at Youngstown's South Side Hospital. She later retired as the Coordinator of School Health Services for Youngstown City Schools. Elaine was a member of St. Rose Church and Friends of the Girard Free Library. She enjoyed reading and playing slot machines at casinos with her husband and friends. She is survived by her husband, Paul M. Babbony, whom she married September 30, 1950, her children, Melanie (Jeff) Loew, of Liberty Twp. and Mary Anne (Steve) Miller, of Branch, Michigan, her brother, Fred Crall, of Indian Hill, Ohio, grandsons, Jeff and Ryan Loew, and great-granddaughters, Emma and Lucy Loew. Elaine was preceded in death by her nine siblings. Due to the current health conditions, there will be no services at this time. The family suggests any memorial contributions be made to the person's charity of choice in Elaine's memory.
