Evelyn Myers

Evelyn Myers, 88, of Girard, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown. 

Evelyn was born September 9, 1936 in Salem, Ohio, the daughter of James Wright and Eula Wright (Floyd Hoffman).

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Girard. She enjoyed going to the Multi-Generational Center, shopping, socializing with her friends, and was an avid dog lover. She loved cheering for the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Kristy (Leonard) Fill of Canfield, Jay (Joetta) Myers of Struthers, Cindy (Steve) McCraith of Poolesville, Maryland and Doug (Stephanie) Myers of Phoenix Arizona; grandchildren, Heather (Justin) Bise, Ryan Fill, Adam (Kayla) Fill, Nick (Didra) Myers, Brianne (Jonathan) Moret, Lucas Myers, Trevor (Taylor) Myers, Jason (Paty) Smith, Kyle (Kimberly) Smith, Natalie Smith, Casey (Marty) Linderberger, Brittanica (Sean) Weese and Sean Myers; and step grandchildren Alexa and Nick Leininger; great-grandchildren, Mckenna and Emerson Bise, Brinley & Ashton Fill, Levi and Leon Myers, Mason, Grayson, Ethan and Adeline Smith, Calvin, Connor and Leah Lindenberger, Mayla Weese, and her brother, Ron (Michele) Saffell.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Myers, whom she married October 23, 1953 and died April 29, 2015. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday June 8th from 2-4 at Blackstone's Funeral Home. There will be a church service at the Methodist Church at a later date.
