Helen L Mealy, 99, of Youngstown, OH, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Park Vista.

Helen was born in Kinsman, Ohio on March 20, 1925, a daughter of the late Charles and Dorethea Ganyard

She had worked for Liberty High School for 25 years as a bookkeeper and retired from Weathersfield schools as a bookkeeper for the board of education.

Helen enjoyed dancing and was exceptionally good at square and line dancing.

Family meant the most to Helen and she enjoyed every moment with them.

Helen leaves to cherish her memory Larry (Patricia) Mealy of Liberty Twp., Donald Mealy of Vienna and Nancy (Wayne) Mealy-Martinez of Hubbard; along with 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Along with her parents Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Mealy, whom she married on August 3, 1946, and passed away May 17, 1994; sister, Josephine Ganyard; and brothers, Jim, Ralph, Roy, Cliff, Homer, John, and Charles Ganyard.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, April 27th from 2-4 PM, followed by a funeral service at 4:00PM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.  

Helen will be laid to rest at Kinsman Cemetery next to her husband.
