Herman A. "Bud" Waddell

Herman “Bud” Weddell passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the age of 95. 

He was born on August 5, 1931, in Hubbard, Ohio, a son to the late Murry and Margaret (Adams) Weddell. 

Bud served his country in the Army during the Korean War.

 In his professional life, he worked as a metallurgical engineer for RMI. 

Outside of work, he enjoyed gardening and was also a member of the Elks Club and Moose Lodge. 

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Beryl “Mickie” Kramer Weddell, who he married on April 28, 1951 and passed away on October 19, 2016; his son, William Weddell; and eight brothers and sisters. 

Bud is survived by his sons, Todd Weddell and Michael Weddell and his wife, Tammy. He also leaves behind a loving family of grandchildren, Adam, Ashley, Jeremy, Cory, Alexia, Brad, and Ryan, as well as three great-grandchildren. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. A funeral service will take place there on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. 

Bud will be laid to rest at Churchill Cemetery, next to his wife.
