John A. Jamison

John A. Jamison, 65, of Girard, passed away Wednesday November 1, 2017 at the Hospice House in Poland. John was born June 28, 1952 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of Richard and Pauline (Rishel) Jamison. John worked at Ohio Edison for 32 years prior to retiring in 2011. He served his county in the United States Navy during Vietnam.
He enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles, yard work, and traveling, especially cruising and a trip on an Amtrak from Cleveland to California. He was an avid Cleveland Indians and Browns fan.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 44 years, Sharon (Welling), whom he married June 29, 1973, his sisters, Karen (Steve) Kish of Georgia and Susie (Wayne) Elliot of Columbiana, his brother Richard (Barb) Jamison of Girard, his mother-in-law Lucille Zachary of California, his brothers-in-law Marshall and Michael (Janita) Welling of Califonia, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his father-in-law Duane Welling, sister-in-law Shirley Knight, and nephew Kevin Jamison.
