Joseph D. Brackbill, of Girard, Ohio, passed away at 4:15 AM, Monday, September 29, 2014, while a patient at the Hospice House, Poland, Ohio, following a period of declining health. He was 57.
Joe was born in Dodge City, Kansas, on December 10, 1956, a son to Arlo & Beulah (Ray) Brackbill.
He worked for over 15 years for the State of Nevada as a Registered Nurse in a psychiatric hospital before his retirement.
Survivors include: his wife, Lorie M. (Satre) Brackbill, whom he married on August 4, 2001; his children, Aprile Thomas-Ward (Donnie), Ely, NV, Kadie Thomas, Austintown, OH, Richard W. Thomas (Lulu), Riverside, CA, and Brian Thomas (Stephanie), Las Vegas, NV; his father and mother in-law, Lowell & Ellen Satre, Youngstown; his seven grandchildren; and his brothers-in-law, Pete Satre (Maria), and Jody Satre; and sisters-in-law, Ruth Satre-Williams, and Lorna Edwards.
A memorial service for Joseph will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2014, at 5 PM at the Liberty Assembly of God Church, led by Rev. Patrick Mitchell.
