Judith Krichbaum

September 12, 1940 — January 1, 2026

Cornersburg

Judith Ann Krichbaum, 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 1st, 2026, at The Addison of Cornersburg, with her son, Jim by her side.

Judy was born on September 12, 1940 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Harry L. and Elizabeth (Blakely), Spencer.

Judy graduated from Boardman High School in 1958.

Judy worked for St. Elizabeth Hospital for over 40 years, beginning in the housekeeping department, eventually working her way up to Patient Care Tech and finally in the Endoscopy department.

She loved her home and her neighbors, the four families lived next to each other since the early 1960’s, always looking out for each other and enjoying summer evening “porch parties” on Judy’s deck. She enjoyed visiting her son in Florida and beach vacations with her nieces and their families. Judy also loved her adventures with her friends, making crafts, going to auctions, garage sales, and working on her various collections through the years. She enjoyed playing games and was a voracious reader.

Judy leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, James Krichbaum and his wife, Ann Daukas; her nieces, Dianne Fry and Cathy (Tom) Jones; great nephew, Bryan (Luis) Jones; her life-long friends, Grace McKenzie, friends for almost eighty years, and Sandra Durbin, friends for almost sixty years. Judy also leaves behind her beloved dog Cooper, who now resides with her niece Dianne.

Along with her parents and brother, Keith Spencer, Judy is preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Ann Krichbaum; and her niece’s husband, Jeffrey Fry, who always made her laugh.

Judy’s family would like to thank the Nurses and Staff at The Addison of Cornersburg, for the exceptional care provided to Judy during her residency with them.
