Karen M. (Miller) Zuppo

Karen Miller Zuppo, 59, of Hickory, NC, passed away peacefully at home, with her family by her side, on Wednesday September 5, 2018. Karen was born September 9, 1958 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Richard and Joan (Dierkes) Miller. Karen was a 1977 graduate of Girard High School and moved to Houston Texas in 1981.  She married her high school sweetheart, Thomas Zuppo, on November 17, 1984. Tom and Karen moved to Hickory, NC in 1994 to be closer to their families.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Tom, and their daughter, Lauren K. Zuppo of Raleigh, NC, her brothers; Richard (Carol) Miller and Terry (Joanne) Miller, both of Fairfax, Virginia, Glen (Debbie) Miller, of Girard, OH, and Tom (Joni) Coppinger of Hickory, NC; her mother-in-law, Anne Zuppo of Girard, OH, 16 nieces and nephews, many great-nieces and nephews, and many friends, who will miss Karen’s wit and sense of humor dearly.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, 12:00 PM, at St. Rose Church in Girard.
