Larry Neal

Larry Neal 80, of Youngstown, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025 in the comfort of his home.

Larry was born July 30, 1945 in Danville, Virginia, a son to the late Less and Lula (Bennette) Neal.

He was a Rayen High School graduate and after he attended Youngstown State University receiving his Masters degree in Electrical Engineering. Larry would later go on to work for Delphi Electric for 42 years.

Larry was an active member of Church Hill United Methodist Church where he would always volunteer his time.

He was a hard worker who would help anyone in time of need. He enjoyed working on computers, woodworking and had a love for all animals.

Larry leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 56 years, Shirley (Ogram) Neal, who he married on June 14, 1969; his son, Brian (Jennifer) Neal; sister, Shirley (Carl) Spik; and a granddaughter who was the joy of his life, Hannah Neal.

Along with his parents Larry is preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Ross; and brothers, Earl and Eldrich Neal.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6th, 11:00 AM at Church Hill United Methodist Church, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

Larry will be laid to rest at Lake Park Cemetery.
