Lois M. (Blumetti) Helle

Lois M. (Blumetti) Helle, 87, of Girard, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018, at Liberty Healthcare Center with family by her side. Lois was born August 16, 1931, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Albert and Irene (Cunningham) Blumetti. She was a member of Church Hill United Methodist Church, and was a devoted wife and mother. Lois and her late husband Joe, whom she met as a teenager while working at her uncle’s Skyway diner, loved going on cruises, dancing and traveling. Later in life, Lois enjoyed her privacy, spending time with family, watching television, going shopping and subsequently returning everything she had bought. She always had a keen interest in lions, jewelry, shoes and handbags. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Renee (Robert) Kielb of Wake Forest, NC, and Albert (Susan) Helle of Girard; her sister, Mary (Joe) McPherson of FL; her grandchildren, Eric Kielb of NC, Jason (Beth) Kielb of IN, Dustin Helle of VA, and Kristin Helle of Girard; her great-grandchildren, Hallie, Harrison, Will, and Drew Kielb; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. Lois is preceded in death by her parents, her wonderful husband of 56 years, Harry "Joe" Helle, whom she married May 8, 1948, and passed away, June 17, 2004, and her beloved dog, Bridget. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 3rd, 11:00 AM, at Blackstone Funeral Home, where the family will receive relatives and friends one hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers the family requests any memorial contributions be made to the Trumbull County Wolves Scholarship Fund/Justin Leo.
