Martha (Bobovnyk) Pizzulo

Martha A. Pizzulo, 69, of McDonald, passed away on Wednesday August 17, 2011 at Northside Hospital.  Martha was born May 14, 1942 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late John A. and Elizabeth J. Ferguson Bobovnyk.  During the 1980's Martha worked as a sales clerk at the McDonald Valu-King, later known as IGA, she also loved  providing childcare for her grandchildren and others during the late 1980's and 90's.  Martha was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in McDonald, the Altar and Rosary Society, Parish Council and taught CCD during the 1970's.  She enjoyed cooking, bingo and reading.  She is survived by her husband Peter F. Pizzulo and recently celebrated  50 years of marriage  on August 12th, her son Peter J. (Kerry Renee) Pizzulo of Howland, sister Catherine McFarland of Youngstown, brothers Mike Bobovnyk of Niles and Fred Bobovnyk of Mineral  Ridge, and the three grandchildren she adored, Alexis, Gianna and Chase.  Preceded in death was her sisters Mary Angelo, Donna Ohryn, and brothers John, Joseph and Jim Bobovnyk.  A memorial service will be held on Tuesday August 23rd, 11:00 AM, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help where the family will receive relatives and friends one hour prior to the service.  Interment will take place at All Souls Cemetery.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.  Visit www.blackstonesfh.com to view this obituary and to send condolences to the Pizzulo family.
