Michael J. Stefanic

Michael J. Stefanic, 78, of Girard, passed away peacefully on Independence Day, July 4th, of 2026.

Michael was born July 25th, 1947 in Youngstown, a son to Michael and Mary Stefanic.

He was a graduate of Girard High School, where he played various positions on the football team.

He never missed an opportunity to share his passion for dancing with others.

He obtained his Bachelor's degree at Youngstown State University, where he was a member of Theta XI Fraternity.

He later went on to his lifelong career in real estate. He retired from Berkshire Hathaway after many years of selling homes to the community.

Devoted to his Catholic faith, he was a long standing member of St. Rose Church. He was known to read his bible every day.

Michael was a talented dancer who was well known throughout the area for his skill. He never missed an opportunity to share his passion for dancing with others. In his spare time, Michael also enjoyed skeet shooting, a hobby at which he also excelled.

He was an avid Cleveland sports fan, and could be found watching the Cavaliers or Browns on the TV any given day.

Michael leaves to cherish his memory his beloved brother, Stephen Stefanic.

Along with his parents, Michael is preceded in death by his dear twin brother, John Stefanic, who passed away in childhood, 1953.

Visitation for Michael will be held on Thursday, July 9th, 2026, from 9:30am - 10:30am at Blackstone Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00am at St. Rose Church.

He will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery, alongside his parents and brother.
