Phillip R. Hanshaw JR.

November 7, 1963 — March 17, 2024

Phillip R. Hanshaw Jr., 60, of McDonald, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 17,

2024, in the presence of family. Phillip was born November 7, 1963 in Youngstown Ohio, the

son of Phillip R. and Sally (Cozadd) Hanshaw Sr. He worked for approximately 42 years in the

autobody repair industry. He owned and operated TNC Autobody of McDonald. He was

employed for several years at R&J Trucking Co., in Boardman. Phillip was a 1982 graduate of

McDonald High school and the Gordon D. James Career Center. He was especially skilled in

painting and restoration of vehicles.

Phillip enjoyed hunting, fishing, restoring old cars, watching Nascar races, and spending time

with this family and friends. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He

leaves to cherish his memory, his high school sweetheart Susan- Luzar Hanshaw to whom he

was married to for 39 years, his children, Tiffany (Donald) Bell of Mineral Ridge, Nicole

(Stephen) Moy of Pittsburgh, and Connor Hanshaw of McDonald; and his grandchildren, Jacob

Bell, Joshua Bell, Jack Bell, Tristan Moy and Rhyan Moy. Phillip is preceded in death by his

mother and his brothers, Gary A. and Raymond J. Hanshaw, as well as his beloved aunt

Georgia “Peach” and uncle Harry O’Connell who were a significant part of his life. Private

services were held at Blackstone Funeral Home. Contributions can be made to Easter Seals,
