Phyllis M. Migliozzi

Phyllis M. Migliozzi, 54, of Girard, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, after a long illness. Phyllis was born September 28, 1963 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Giuseppe and Angela (Szewc) Migliozzi. Phyllis was a 1981 graduate of Girard High School and had attended Kent State University and Youngstown State University. She had worked for the Trumbull County Treasurer's office for 16 years, and was a member of St. Rose Church. Phyllis had worked, with her Dad, for the Italian Radio Show, and would sometimes host the show when her father was not able. She loved music, and played several instruments, played bocce, enjoyed her photography, collected snow globes, and had a great admiration for animals. Besides her mother, of Girard, she is survived by her brothers, Frank (Kathy) Migliozzi and John (Connie) Migliozzi, both of Girard, her niece, Timi Williams and nephew Michael Rushwin. The family would like to thank, Lori Mikulich, her best friend since kindergarten,for being there for her until her final days. Besides her father she is preceded in death by her nieces, Cortney Rushwin and Lee Ann Candela. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 12th, 11:30 AM at St. Rose Church. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 10:00- 11:00 AM at Blackstone Funeral Home. Phyllis will be laid to rest at Girard City Cemetery.
