Ralph F. Gibson Sr., 80, of Girard, passed away on Thursday October 12, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown. Ralph was born June 12, 1937 in Morgantown, West Virginia. He retired from Consolidated Freight Ways after forty years as a truck driver. He was a member of the teamsters. Ralph served his country during the Korean Conflict in the US Army. He was a hard worker and loved working with his hands on all kinds of projects. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children; Evelyn Gordon of Girard, Ralph Gibson Jr. of PA., Robert (Elaine) Gibson of Girard, Russ (Scarlet) Gibson Sr. of St. Cloud, Fl., Debbie (Joe) Whitcomb of St. Cloud, Fl., and Lynann (Ken) Shuda of PA., twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Ralph is preceded in death by his mother Stella and thirteen brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 16th, from 5:00- 6:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard where a memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM with military honors to follow.
