Raymond Stanar

Raymond Stanar, 77, of Youngstown, passed away at home on Thursday, October 29th, 2026. 

Ray was born on September 15, 1949, a son to the late Joseph and Irene (Machingo) Stanar. 

He was an East High School graduate, and later, he proudly served his country in the United States Airforce. 

Raymond worked as a driver for the United States Postal Service for many years. He was also a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. 

He greatly enjoyed the outdoors, whether he was working in his yard or crafting handmade wood projects. But above all else, Ray cherished spending time with his family, especially with his beloved grandchildren. 

He leaves behind his sons, Michael (Stacey) Stanar, of Barberton; and Patrick (Paula) Stanar, of Chippewa Lake; and his cherished grandchildren, Lucas, Logan, and Leah.

Along with his parents, Raymond is preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years whom he dearly missed, Linda (Smerek) Stanar. They were married on April 26th, 1974, sharing a lifetime of love and fond memories until her passing on January 24th, 2025. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Beverly; and his brother, Alan Stanar.

In accordance with Raymond's wishes there will be no services.
