Robert H. Norman

Robert Norman, 84, of Girard, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, in Warren. Robert was born January 3, 1939 in Adah, PA., the son of John and Mary (Dunn) Norman. He retired in 2002, after 34 years, from General Motors. Robert was a member of St. Rose Church and the UAW #1112. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 65 years, Julia ( Boskovich) Norman, whom he married September 8, 1958; his children, Kimberly Shingler, Robert (Nancy DeBacco) Norman, and John (Kelly) Norman, all of Girard; sisters, Diana Davis and Maxine Hajek, both of Adah, PA., grandchildren, Ryan Shingler, Tracy (Sean) Ross, Derek Shingler, John (Cassidy) Norman and Benjamin Norman; great-grandchildren, Sean, Avery and Maxwell; nephew, Scott Goodwin and niece, Teresa Brenzy-Hunyady. Besides his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his brothers, William and Thomas Norman and sister, Eleanor Fenton. Private funeral services were held on Thursday, December 21st at Blackstone Funeral Home, officiated by Fr. Jordan Kelly. Robert was laid to rest at Girard City Cemetery.
