Robert Richmond

Robert Richmond, 80, of Niles, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2024, at Continuing Healthcare of Niles. 

Robert was born May 28, 1944 in Masury, Ohio, a son to the late James and Ruth (Baxter) Richmond. 

Robert worked for Copperweld in Warren, and later, he managed condominiums in Myrtle Beach, showcasing his versatility and commitment to his work. His professional achievements were complemented by his military service, as Robert honorably served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

In addition to his career, Robert had a passion for writing, which allowed him to express his thoughts and creativity. 

Robert's legacy continues through his beloved family. He is survived by his son, David (Tina) Richmond of Girard; daughters, Janine "Gigi" Richmond of Summerville, SC, and Marsha Merry of Columbia, SC; and grandchildren, Jessica (Chris) Russo, Jonathan Richmond, Quinn Richmond, Bayden Merry, and Brooke Merry. He cherished the time spent with them and took pride in their accomplishments.

Robert was preceded in death by his sister, Naomi McNeish, and brother, James Richmond.

A memorial service honoring Robert's life will be held on September 6th a 12:30 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. 

Robert will be laid to rest at Brookfield Cemetery.
