Robert "Bob" E. Fay

Robert "Bob" E. Fay,89, of Liberty Twp., passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family and friends.  Bob was born June 24, 1928 in New Eagle, PA., the son of the late Jimmy and Mae (Pritchard) Fay. He had worked for Isaly Dairy in Youngstown and then retired from General Motors, and later worked for Litco International after retiring. Bob was well known as a "people person" and a man that would do anything for anyone. He had the most loving and gentle heart.  Bob had coached baseball in his younger years and had served at the Rescue Mission.  He was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan.  Bob loved spending time with his family and friends and keeping busy.  He was an animal lover who rescued many cats and dogs and gave them a loving home.  Bob loved music and had an amazing singing voice.  His family was so blessed to have him as a father and grandfather.  He gave us so much love and affection.  We know he is at peace now and is with his loving wife Eileen.  He is survived by his children, Debbie (Bob) Campana and Jill (Bobby) Brown, both of Liberty Twp. and Sharron (Tim) Cothran of Vienna, Virginia, his grandchildren; Kimberly(Jason) Weinell, Kristine (Mark) Makis and John Robert Cothran, and his great-grandchildren; Chloe, Brandon, Connor and Claire Eileen. He leaves behind his dear friends Mick and Carol Marsh, Don Gerry, and George and Sandy Chernisky.  He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Eileen L. (Foley) Fay, whom he married December 27, 1949 and died January 31, 2014. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 14th, 11:00 AM at St. Rose Church in Girard, preceded by a 10:30 AM prayer service at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Robert will be laid to rest at Greenhaven Memorial Park next to his wife.
