Ronald M. Fay

Ronald M. Fay, 86, of Girard, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at his residence. Ron was born April 26, 1930 in Fayette City, Pennsylvania, the son of Lawrence and Irene (Hill) Fay. He retired after thirty years as a mill wright from Republic Steel. Ron was a Army veteran serving in the Korean War and was awarded three bronze stars, infantry combat, national defense, sharp shooters and good conduct medals also.   He enjoyed woodworking, model trains and cars. He is survived by his wife, Jill (Bailey) Fay, his sons; Edwin (Debra) Fay of Poland and Terry Fay of Youngstown, a brother Gordon Fay of Florida, grandchildren; Justin and Nastassia and great-grandchildren; Roland and Merced. Ron is preceded in death by his brothers, Lawrence, Larry and Wallace Fay. Private funeral services will be held at Tod Homestead Cemetery Chapel where Ron will be laid to rest.
