Rose Lee Szalai

Rose Lee Szalai, 71, formerly of Liberty, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at Addison Healthcare Center in Masury. Rose was born June 30, 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Dennis and Dorothy Mae (VanDyke) Szalai. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Church, and enjoyed spending time at Gateway Senior Center. Rose was very active in the Special Olympics, and was a great bowler. She leaves to cherish her memory her aunts and uncles, Jeter (Maggie) Coggins of Liberty Twp., Robert (Wilma) Bell of Streetsboro, Al (Aileen) Linek of Aurora, and Shirley Cole of Erie, PA, a special cousin, Lisa (Russ) Balsinger of Lake Milton, and many other surviving cousins. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 29th, 11:00 AM, at Blackstone Funeral Home. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Rose will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family request any memorial contributions be made to Special Olympics Ohio, 5311 N Leavitt Rd # 100, Lorain, OH 44053.
