Rosemarie Housteau

Rosemarie Housteau, of Girard, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 2nd, 2026.

Rosemarie was was born on July 9th, 1931 in Akron, Ohio, a daughter to Harry and Helen Buehrle.

She is a St. Mary's graduate (Akron), and a lifelong area resident.

She married her husband, Robert, in 1955. She was a loving wife and a devoted mother to their son, David. 

Rosemarie was a member of St. Rose Church, where she was involved in the Catholic Women's Club. For over 65 years, Rosemarie helped the church and community in planning many fundraisers and trips.  

She is survived by her son, David Housteau; and several relatives and good friends. 

Along with her parents, Rosemarie is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Housteau, who passed away in 2016; as well as her siblings, Robert, Dick, Jeanette and Eloise. 

Per Rosemarie's wishes, there will be no services.
