Ruth E. O'Connell

Ruth E. O’Connell, 76, of Girard, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown.

Ruth was born on June 15, 1949 in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter to the late Raymond and Margaret (Maloney) O’Connell.

She was a graduate of McDonald High School. Ruth had worked at Big Lots for many years.

Ruth was a passionate fan of Elvis and was an avid collector. She enjoyed playing bingo and watching soap operas.

Ruth leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Lynn and Lisa Rivera; her brother, Pat (Diane) O’Connell; and her cousin Sylvia Deware.

Per Ruth’s wishes, there will be no services.
