Thomas R. Davis Jr.

Thomas R. Davis Jr., 62, of Girard, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Hospice House in Poland. Tom  was born March 30, 1956 in Sharon, Pennsylvania, the son of Thomas R and Bessie (Whitecotton) Davis Sr. He was a 1974 graduate of Hubbard High School.  Tom worked for General Motors in the body shop, and retired in 2011, as an International Union Rep after 34 years. He was very active in the UAW Local #1112. Tom was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Ohio State Buckeye fan. He loved watching Nascar and traveling in his RV, but he loved nothing more than spending time with his grandkids. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 40 years, Peggy (Moran) Davis, whom he married January 14, 1978, his son, Thomas (Tiffany) Davis III of Girard, brother, William (Patty) Davis of Pembrooke Pines, FL, his sisters, Catherine and Jeanie Davis both of Mercer, PA, Ruth Ann (Andy) Wolf of Hubbard, and Donna (Todd) Coonce also of Hubbard,  two  grandchildren, Brian and Aubrey Davis, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 16th, 11:00 AM at Blackstone Funeral Home. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at the funeral home. Tom will be laid to rest at Girard City Cemetery.
