April 30, 1962 — December 15, 2025

Girard

Timothy R. May, 63, of Girard, passed away on Monday, December 15th, at home, with the love of his family by his side.

Tim was born on April 30th, 1962 in Warren, Ohio, a son to L. Robert and Bonita Jean May. He graduated from Howland High School in 1980.

Timothy, also affectionately known as “Mr. T,” was a man of vision, faith, and determination, someone who carried an entrepreneurial spirit throughout his life. Full of ideas and always looking toward what could be done next, he pursued numerous business ventures, but he was most famously known for “Mr. T’s Heart of Gold.” He lovingly ran his business alongside his wife, Debbie, until her passing in 2010, and continued on past the 30 year mark. He used his business avidly as a platform to evangelize and tell people about Jesus Christ. This was a central part of his life. Family and friends would describe him as an evangelist at heart. He played many different roles, from counselor and friend to philanthropist and facilitator, yet his relationship with Jesus was deeply personal and wasn’t defined by any one room or congregation. Tim’s faith was lived out daily, one-on-one, praying with people, and for them as well.

He was also a true sports fanatic, having attended 14 Superbowls in his life, mostly with his son Timmy. But football wasn’t all – Tim was an avid basketball fan and loved his time on the golf course, never letting people forget his hole-in-one in California. He also enjoyed traveling, especially to Cancun, Miami, New York, Las Vegas, and anywhere with his family. Larger than life would be a dramatic understatement.

Those who knew Mr. T will fondly remember his giving nature, and how he seemed to have lived 20 lifetimes in one. He was also known for being very particular in his tastes, and unapologetic in his love for everything big and extra. Whether it was an idea, a plan, or a vision, he believed in going all in and doing things to their fullest.

He leaves behind his wife, Tina May; children, Timothy W. (Alisson) May, Renee (John) Rosin, Marci (Jeff) Bowser, Robyn Caisango, Rachel Hunt, Andrew Hunt, and Richard Hunt Jr.; brother, Robert (Dori) May; ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

The family will be hosting a memorial service at Pleasant Valley Church on January 10th, 2026. Calling hours from 10 to 11am, with a service to follow at 11am. There will also be a gathering with family and close friends at 6pm at a location TBD. Tim’s last pizza party.

In lieu of flowers, please go to your favorite LOCAL, FAMILY-OWNED restaurant and take a big bite of something delicious for Mr. T.
