William Frederick Dally

William F. Dally, 77, of Southington, Ohio, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 16, 2026 at his residence.

William was born April 25, 1949 in Ravenna, Ohio, the son of the late William and Genevieve (Lipinski) Dally.

William was a US Army veteran earning the rank of Specialist 5. He served his country during the Vietnam War with the 18th, 20th & 169th Combat Engineers. Decorations include the Purple Heart Medal three times & Army Commendation Medal. After the service, he worked for WCI Steel moving up to vessel operator until retirement after 39 years.

He was a member of the DAV and the Purple Heart Association. In his spare time, William enjoyed fishing, gardening, motor cycles and was a huge Star Trek enthusiast.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Kate Jones and husband Brian; and son, Mike Dally and wife Patty; and his dear granddaughter, Hannah Stout.

Friends and family may call on Friday, August 21st from 5:00-7:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard, and also on Saturday, August 22nd from 11:00 - 12:00. Funeral services will take place at noon, with military honors to follow.
