William Eugene Jones

William Eugene Jones, 87, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017, at his home in Girard. William was born January 2, 1930, in Hopewell, Florida, the son of William J. and Annie Mae (Howell) Jones. He was a member of Girard Liberty Assembly of God, and worked there as a custodian for 40 years. William retired after 26 years from General Fireproofing in 1992. William is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Lucille (Glass) Jones, whom he married September 22, 1955, his children; Kathryn (David) Merrill of Girard, Jerome Jones of McDonald, and Dolores Stillwagon of Girard; six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 27th, 12:00 PM, at Blackstone Funeral Home, Girard. The family will receive relatives and friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service. William will be laid to rest at Niles Union Cemetery.
