Christina Hicks

Christina Hicks, 96, of Austintown, passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021 at The Inn at Christine Valley. Christina was born February 24, 1925 in Spangler, Pennsylvania, a daughter of John and Osia (Kieth) Anderson. She had previously worked as a nurse’s aide at Miners Hospital. Christina was a member of the Christian Missionary Church of Northern Cambria, PA. She enjoyed in her spare time, knitting, crocheting, and baking.

Christina is survived by her children; Dwight (Susan) Hicks of Austintown, Christopher (Meredith) Gillo of Washington, PA, Patricia (Davis) Lyntz of Liberty, and Sherry (Cal) Calabrese of Owensville, Maryland; sister, Sue Vargo; along with 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband William Hicks Jr.; brothers, John, Stewart and Theodore Anderson; and sisters, Mildred Woodside, Althea Good, and Martha Lamb.

Per Christina’s wishes there will be no services. She will be laid to rest at McDowell Cemetery.
