George M Saare

George M. Saare, 80, of Girard, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown. George was born September 23, 1941 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of Matt V. and Lilly (Kassi) Saare. George had served his country in the US Army from 1964-1966. He retired from General Motors in 1996 after 30 years, and later worked for Blackstone Funeral Home. He was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter Heidi (Nicholas) Zagotti of Girard; son Philip Saare of Girard; and his grandchildren Daniel and Hannah Zagotti. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Pauline Saare. Visitation will be held on Thursday December 2nd from 4:00-6:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Trinity Lutheran Church. George will be laid to rest at Girard City Cemetery. George's request was that any memorial contributions be made to the Church Memorial Fund, 78 E.
