Obituary

John J. Mazzella, 82, of Vienna, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at his residence, surrounded by his family. He was born July 13, 1940 in Warren, Ohio, the son of Joseph and Inez (McVey) Mazzella. John had worked for Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co., Do Cut, and retired from American Welding. He had served his country in the US Army for 6 years.  He enjoyed working on tractors and anything that involved mechanics. His greatest joy was the time he spent with his family, especially his wife, Louise, whom he lovingly adored and cherished, until her death on November 12, 2022.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Lynelle (Darryl) Myers, of Vienna;  sons, Michael (Dawn) Mazzella of Vienna, and Tom (Michelle) Mazzella of Liberty Twp.; brothers, Michael Mazzella of Brookfield, and Donald(Debbie) Mazzella of Florida; 8 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Besides his parents and wife, John is preceded in death by his sisters, Norma and Carol; and brothers, William and Gerald. Private funeral services were held on Wednesday at Blackstone Funeral Home. Entombment was at Crown Hill Cemetery.
