Mary Lou Faiver, 91, of Girard, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Hospice House in Poland after a brief illness. Mary Lou was born November 8, 1929 in Girard, Ohio, the daughter of Marshall A. and Caroline (Applegate) Faiver Sr. Mary Lou retired from the U.S. Steel McDonald Works as a scheduler. She was a lifelong member of the First Christian Church, in Girard, where she had served as a Trustee and had served on many other committees. She had played for the Hubbard Girls Fast Pitch Baseball League and had started the Par Bell Golf League in Hubbard. She will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews; Jean Anne Pinti, Connie (Carl) Malito, Bonnie (James) Santagata, John (Cindy) Yaksich, Michael (Jona) Yaksich, Chris Faiver, Carolyn Faiver, Susan (Fred) Noday and Marsha (John) Morabito, her sister-in-law, Joyce Faiver; 36 great nieces and nephews, 76 great-great-nieces and nephews; 7 great-great-great-nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Megan.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters; Vera Yasich and Florence Faiver, her brothers, Frederick Faiver, Eugene Faiver, Marshall Faiver Jr., Wade Faiver and Howard Faiver, nephews; Dick Faiver and Tom Brown and niece, Janet Gasser. As per Mary Lou's wishes, there will be no services. The family suggests any memorial contributions can be made to: Girard First Christian Church, 140 E. Broadway St., Girard, Ohio 44420 or the Animal Welfare League, 812 Youngstown-Kingsville Rd., Vienna, Ohio  44473, in Mary Lou's memory.
