Mitchell Rushwin

Mitchell A. Rushwin, 92, of Liberty Twp., passed away on Friday, January 31, 2020, at Liberty Health Care Center. Mitchell was born July 16, 1927, in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of Thomas and Mabel (Peter) Rushwin. Mitchell served his country in the US Army during WW II. After the serve he worked for Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co. and retired at its closing in 1977. He was a member of St. Rose Church. Mitchell and his wife Dorothy, enjoyed bowling and were on several leagues together during his lifetime. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Dorothy J. (Moffo) Rushwin, whom he married April 30, 1949, his son-in-law, John Lago, of Liberty Twp., nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his children; Marie Lago, Barbara Cheatham, Michael Rushwin, Richard Rushwin and Robert Rushwin, grandaughter Courtney Rushwin, and his brothers and sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 8th, 12:00 PM at St. Rose Church, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 11:30 AM until the time of service.
