Ray T. "Tom" Rees, 89, of Girard, passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Liberty Health Care. Tom was born August 25, 1931 in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of the late Ray and Madeline (McAllister) Rees. Tom proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He had worked for Youngstown Sheet and Tube for 38 years. Ray was a member of St. Rose Church and the Girard American Legion Post 235. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 56 years, Carmella (Petrarca) Rees, who he married May 9, 1964, and his son, Richard Rees of Girard. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 19th, 11:00 AM at St. Rose Church. Ray will be laid to rest at Girard City Cemetery with military honors.
